Word is not my primary tool and this one has me a bit stumped.

We've got a document/proposal that we have been sending back and forth
between our company and a customer. It includes two image files. When
anyone here opens the document, the images display fine. The original
images were in a specific directory on our severs, but even people who
do not have permissions to access those folders can see the images fine.

Originally, one was added to the file from a bitmap format, the other
(the problem one) was a GIF. Converted that to a bitmap and again,
everything seemed to be working fine on our end, but the customer still
could not see the image when they opened the file.

The company-wide tool is Word 2007. Last time I had my hands on the
file, I replaced the image using Word 2000 thinking there might be
something specific to Word 2007 that was causing the problem, but no
dice.

Anyone have any idea why one bitmap displays correctly and the other
does not? Don't know what version of Word the customer is running (a
project manager has been the one doing most of the edits to the file and
sending it to the customer). Why I'd love to just make a PDF of it and
call it a day, we need to provide the file in Word.

Thanks,

- Victoria
