I don't want to sound like Father Time, here, but 15 years ago I was writing FORTRAN code to tie Vax Mail in to ARPAnet. The only CLI mail client I've used since then is PINE, and only when I had to. Even though I send plain text, I prefer to create it in a friendlier editor.

I guess I'm lucky in that I've gotten to work with one of the best, which developed some of the standards I've described.
