The Technical Writer creates technical product publications which
provide written communication between development and all other users
of Norand products.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Determine publication requirements of new products or upgrades to
existing pruducts. Establish schedules to meet the publications
requirements of projects or teams. Create publications to meet project
and team requirements. Participate in development teams for new
products. Direct illustration development with Technical Illustrator
and others. Ensure all product publications are completed to support
product development and manufacturing schedules. Supervise contractors
if project requires those resources. Propose new publication concepts.
Review and recommend new tools.
BA in Technical Communication or related field plus two years work
experience in technical writing or a two year degree in electonics,
programming, or computer science and five years work experience in
technical writing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of electronic publishing and work processing skills.
Tecnical background in one or more applicable areas such as
electronics, microprocessors, programming or radio communications.
Project management and training skills are helpful.
