I lived in Riverside and taught an adjunct course at EAFB more years ago than
I care to remember. What I do remember: it's the high desert. That
means HOT in the summer (OK if you're a joshua tree, I guess) and colder than
you'd expect in the winter. My impression was that it was a rtelatively
isolated existence too (but as I only drove up to teach, I could be wrong)
But oh those drives at miday in August up through the borax flats!
