Hey, I like the sound of the phrase "Vain Elitists." It is better than the Great Unwashed. Where do I join up?

And once again, a vain elitism rears its ugly head. Ironically, it is the same type of thinking that labels the general public as "no minds" that leads the arrogant developers in Peter Neilson's anecdote to ignore the TW's request for information about how to turn off Auto Save.

By the way, I've been playing the drums for almost 30 years, and I understand structure, scales, rhythm, syncopation, melody, pitch, consonance, dissonance, and articulation. While I am no Buddy Rich or Dave Weckl and haven't "studied" jazz, I understand jazz and can play jazz--and I don't care for most jazz. While there is some jazz that I really do like, I most often think of jazz by its other name: noise.

I studied jazz, and the most common phrase we used was, "The general public are no minds."
