Hi,

Long ago and far away I was a professional tech writer and belonged to
this list. When I changed careers to become a homeschooling mom about
10 years ago, I unsubscribed, with sadness. I rejoined temporarily
about 5-6 years ago to gather suggestions for teaching a high-school
seminar on how to become a tech writer, and you did not disappoint!
You were a great help.

Now I'm back. : ) I have another question for you, since I have been
out of the loop a long time. My husband, a scientist for a research
lab, emailed me the following question:

"When reviewing manuscripts, I often find myself recommending
technical writing and editing assistance to authors. Is there a web
presence that contracts out reliable technical writing help to people
in other countries?

Now, I know many of you fine professionals freelance, but I think he's
looking for a clearinghouse type of place, a place where authors can
go and shop for the right editor for them, rather than random
individual contacts.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Sherrill Fink
