I have to disagree with you there. It is hard to drive through the ghost town that is Silicon Valley every day without noticing that something is amiss with "the market" even if you are fielding multiple contracts. And the state of "the market" inevitably affects the manner in which you approach your prospective clients. There's hardly ever a time when what's going on around you doesn't "apply" to you in some way or another.
