I frequently send Word documents to engineers & other
for electronic review. I protect the document & track for
changes, so I can see what they've cut & what they've
added when they send the revised doc back to me.
Works like a charm.

Microsoft also provides a free Word Viewer, but the doc cannot
be edited.

(PS, I'm not trying to inflame the Frame vs Word debate,
just relating what works for me.)
