Filtering in Outlook 98

Subject: Filtering in Outlook 98

My PC was recently upgraded to Outlook 98. Since then, my filtering rule for
this listserv no longer seems to work properly. When I tried to create a
rule which would automatically move messages from my Inbox to a client-side
folder, I received a message like: "cannot mix client and server rules, this
rule will only work when Outlook is running." With Outlook 97, all the
messages I received from this listserv would automatically move to the
Outlook folder I had created on my client. Now, the filter only works for
moving messages from my Inbox to another server folder. I have to manually
move the messages to a client folder.

Has anyone else experienced this problem with Outlook 98?

Thanks,
Pete

Thanks to everyone who responded to my question about
filtering the
techwriter digest in MS Outlook. I have changed the Rules
so that it
filters on messages TO this list rather than FROM this list.
The real test
will come this afternoon when I receive the digest. Thanks
again for all
the rapid responses!!

Thanks!
