Dear Tech Whirlers,

I have an interesting question up my
sleeves. Has anyone out there
participated in migrating an inhouse
Technical Publications Team into a
business proposition for the Organization?

What I mean is: Imagine yourself to be part
of a Technical Publications Team that handled
technical documentation for your Organization
only. Suddenly, a need is felt for tapping
this potential and converting it into a
business proposition for your Organization.
So, the resources (people included) will be
made available to a X, Y and a Zee organization
on money. In such a case,

1. What would be the charter?
2. How does one go about establishing the
identity of the team that was hitherto an
unknown entity to the outside world?
3. What would be the stakes?

Add your thoughts to the questions above and
let me know?

Thanks in advance.

Regards.
