Non-standard but industry-standard word lists

Subject: Non-standard but industry-standard word lists

I was editing our company web pages recently and marked "username" to be
"user name." The owner of the page pointed out that on the web, username
is an accepted term for the login name, though not listed in the
dictionary, of course.

Are there lists somewhere of these new names, which are at home and
acceptable on web pages?

TIA
