There used to be three such standards: (Grady) Booch Notation, OMT (Object
Modeling Technique -- Jim Rumbaugh), or OOSE/(Ivar) Jacobson methods. But,
a few years ago, Grady Booch, Ivar Jacobson, and Jim Rumbaugh all went to
work for Rational Corp. and today there's a single standard: UML (Unified
Modeling Language). Go to
