I'd just say that "A number of terms in this reference guide need to be
clarified/defined." Or, "Before you begin, please review the
instructions for these basic operations." (click and drag???)

Then again...is this to preceed a glossary or will it be more of a
straight text kind of thing. If it's a glossary, why say anything? It
speaks for itself.
