JOB DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS
As a Technical Writer with Chyron Corporation, you will be responsible for
research, writing, illustrating, and editing of operation, maintenance, and
field service documentation for commercial video equipment and software
products.
The ideal candidate is conversant in computer equipment and software, and
with the latest advances in electronic publishing methods. You must be a
motivated self-starter, capable of expressing yourself clearly in both
verbal and written form, and possess excellent interpersonal skills. A
computer and/or electronics hardware background is helpful, as is mechanical
aptitude. BA or BS degree preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include research, writing, illustrating, and editing of operation,
maintenance, and field service documentation for commercial video equipment
and software products. Must demonstrate ability to prepare accurate
documentation for electronics hardware and user-interface software with
minimal engineering input. Responsible for all aspects of documentation from
initiation through final production & printing. Must be fast, flexible and
willing to learn new production techniques. Large document page layout and
illustration experience required; FrameMaker exp. highly desired; on-line
help development experience a big+!; Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop experience
helpful.
