I agree with both Tracy and Scott concerning bullets and indentation. When
the bullet aligns with the paragraph, you wind up with two vertical
alignments on the page. With the extra indentation you get three strong
vertical alignments. Structurally, the added indentation adds nothing.
Visually, it seems redundant.
