Hi Gang
While we're on the topic or Word Anomalies can anyone say just what is the
correct way of presenting a Check-list/Checklist. If you've got Word 97 with
instant grammar check/spell check/language English UK then "check-list"
attracts the green line and Word offers "checklist" as the preferred option.
Accept it and the you get the red line and Word then offers "check-list" as the
new preference. Accept that and you're back at square one --- Walk/Don't
Walk/Walk/Don't Walk/Walk?...............
I've only got Hart's Rules which doesn't list this example, does any other
style manual cover it?
Thanks

PS In response to the couple of knocks I received about my shortcut to em-dash,
hey guys Word 97 provides on average 4 ways to just about everything. My
opinion was only another option which I find a little more logical. After all
how does Ctrl+Alt+Num mentally represent a long dash when there's one sitting
on the minus key? Or in my ignorance, is the American keyboard that different?
