Subject:Fwd: linking to a location within a pdf file From:WandaJane Phillips <wjp -at- WRITELIVELIHOOD -dot- COM> Date:Sat, 6 Jun 1998 18:45:25 -0400
Hi gang,
I'm putting together a proposal for a client and success hinges on being
able to link to a location within an acrobat document.
I want to go from a web document to a location within a HUGE process document.
I can link to the pdf, no problem, just through in an anchor tag with the
href. But, aside from creating a thousand pdf docs (then what's the point,
why don't I just convert to HTML?), how do I open the pdf at a particular
chapter and section? We don't want to convert to HTML, they want the people
to be able to download their own copy of the process doc for browsing.
I was so full of confidence last week when I nodded and said, oh, yeah, we
can link to a pdf, no problem.
