Documentation Writer

Spectrum, the industry leader in PC-based human resource management
systems, seeks a documentation writer to join its Denver writing team.

Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain documentation sets for software products
including, but not limited to, online help (Winhelp and HTML Help),
printed manuals, tutorials, and training aids
* Finish documents for print, online, or Internet publishing
* Work with other writers to develop style, design, and tool
guidelines
* Perform other technical editing, writing, and design tasks as
required

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, IS
or other related field

Professional Experience:
* 1-2 years experience developing online help and printed
documentation
* Demonstrated proficiency with Winhelp
* Strong desktop publishing skills
* Knowledge of Word97, Access97, and SQL Server a plus
* Demonstrated proficiency with Doc-to-Help or other help
authoring software
* Experience with graphics programs such as Corel PhotoPaint and
Draw
* Experience with Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0

* Excellent editing and writing skills
* Ability to learn and use new computer systems quickly with
minimum guidance
* Ability to work well with a writing team, as well as
autonomously
* Self-motivation and initiative
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing
environment, while at the same time staying focused on long-term goals
* Sense of humor
* Strong project management skills
