I am a technical writer working for a small software company. I have been
placed in charge of the ISO 9001 certification effort (with no previous
experience!) and have decided that the most logical place (as well as the
most complex) for me to start is with document and data control. Luckily,
we are a small, young company and I have complete "artistic liscense" with
this effort. My question is this: Would you recommend a software package
for document control? Is it even necessary? Our programmers use Visual
Source Safe. Would this be useful to me as well?
