This is one of the most important aspects of this discussion, and it's
one that too many people are missing. My "technology" is different from
your "technology." If someone feels inclined to doubt my technical
writing ability because I can't read electrical diagrams, remember that
I could insist that those idiots who don't know the apothecary system
have no business claiming to be technical writers. And we'd both be dead
wrong.
