Hi all,

I just finished looking in the archives for the solution to my
problem, but couldn't find an answer that satisfied me.

This morning I was trying to figure out how to move a word file to PM
(6.5 I think, maybe 6.52). I tried a couple of things: I tried saving
it in RTF and then 'placing' it in PM. PM didn't like that. I tried
cutting and pasting - it didn't like that either. And then, (due to
traumatic amnesia I can't remember exactly what I was doing when this
happened) all of the sudden PM crashed, I got the evil Dr. Watson
error, and now I can't even start up PM! Holey moley! What happened?

The doc is a Word(97) doc, only about 25 pages or so,
but has quite a few screen shots (cut and pasted from elsewhere).

In an archive message, Bill McClain mentioned exporting large chucks
of text as .RTFs and then placing them in PM - then going back and
re-placing the graphics. Would this work for me?

Should I make a copy of my doc sans graphics and try placing that? I
feel like I'm trying to do this the hard way.

What is the easiest way to do this? Keep it simple, please, because I
don't have alot of experience with PM or Word.

Does anyone have idea how to 'fix' PM so that I can start it up?
