Original Humor - I think

In light of recent controversy, I spent my lunch composing this. I hope
at least some enjoy it.

Twas the week before Christmas and all through the list
a fury was brewing over a brand new twist.
All over the list their rose such a clatter,
I sat at my desk to see what was the matter.
A man named Weber had a new hunch,
he's start a new company and hire a bunch.
He hired the newbies instead of the old,
he knew they would follow and do what they're told.
Forget the old writers and all that they know,
the newbies are creative and ready to go.
They'll chop and they'll prune, they'll prune and they'll chop,
when a little is left, that's when they'll stop.
It will be easy to print and easy to read,
better for the sales force to get up to speed.

Temperatures rise and angers are flaring,
the list is a mine field for those who are daring.
Are we all human? We're sure we are
But our words can hurt like a speeding car.
Our words are often mean and unkind,
Without really knowing, we put their joy in a bind.

We writers are good and surely we know it,
it's really too bad I'm not a poet.
I'd write a poem of thought and reason,
to bring back the spirit of the season.
We're all in a hurry and a great big rush,
can we take a minute to tell ourselves hush.
With peace and joy and good will to all,
with joy in my heart a cease fire I call.
Let's use our words to help one another,
With quality books we'll teach each other.
There's a lot to learn and a lot to show,
my lunch is over and I've got to go.

I'm just about finished and I'll stop my verse here
and shout from my keyboard for all to hear,
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL, GOOD CHEER!
