Hi Scott,

This is a pretty common problem for me in creating WinHelp... in which
you can really only use .bmp and .wmf type of graphics. The .bmp's
typically print as you described, broken and dithered, the .wmf's on the
other hand print beautifully, each and every time.

Whenever I use graphics now, whether screen grabs, created or clip-art
(even .shg's) I process them into .wmf's for use in the the WinHelp
file.

Like you, when using other types of graphics, they look fine on the
screen but...

Now, oddly, I use a whole variety of graphic types in Ventura Publisher
and no matter which one I'm using (often several different types in one
publication), they print just fine on paper. So it makes ya wonder why
in Word they print so inconsistently, and most often, ugly (unless
.wmf).
