My understanding is that the problem is with hcw.exe. However,
there is an updated version of hcw.exe available from MS that might help
with
some of the problems. You can search the winhlp-l archives at http://www.documentation.com for more details, but, in general, most
help folks who depend on Word have gone back to 95. As Wayne points
out -- prepare to have your templates and macros automatically
"converted"
when you open them in 97. (But you can always close without saving
changes if you opened them up in the wrong version by mistake.)
