cover letters...

Subject: cover letters...

I've been asked to send a resume to a friend's company; they're a small
start-up, and don't currently have a tech writer, but need one badly.
I've been asked to send a resume with a cover letter explaining why
the company needs me... and my mind is blank today. I have over
20 years experience doing this sort of thing, and I am drawing a total
blank. The only thing I can think of is that good tech writing significantly
reduces support calls and expenses (my friend handles their tech. support.)

any suggestions?
