Our product, too, tends to be customized. Many times an update or new
release will be specific to a single customer. What I've tried to do is
add links to release notes for each version, so that customer-specific
issues can be addressed without having to regenerate the .htm file each
time there's a minor change. Not as elegant a solution as I'd ultimately
like, but keeps the information up-to-date.
