Can someone provide brief advice on how to obtain a position using my
writing, Pc and Internet skills?

I have previous experience in tech. writing -- user manuals, technical
reports, work procedures and contract proposals. However, the focus was on
printed documentation for large systems to run on VAX or Bull, with some
programs PC-based.

Recent experience includes news writing and photography. Laid off with
twelve others, as papers around the country down-size, merge, or go out of
business.

Have recent courses for PC's and applications, as well as a state college
TW certificate program and previous computer science certificate program.

A good combination of skills and experience, but it rarely matches up with
a company's job listing. Many are verify specific, with a long shopping
list.

Advice appreciated, in Northern MA.
