All good spell checkers are customisable.

Excellent spell checkers let users have
a) separate exceptions directories for each project.
b) provision for words in the main dictionary to be made
inadmissable. Essential in Canada, where we use an eclectic
mixture of English and US spelling, with no two houses agreeing.
c) display a phrase with the doubtful word in the middle (KWIC
principle).
This simplifies correcting typos such as "int he"
d) Add your requisite.

Science is nothing but trained and organised common sense, differing from
the latter only as a veteran may differ from a raw recruit; and its methods
differ fromthose of common sense only as far as the guardsman's cut and
thrust differ from the manner in which a savage wields his club --T.H.
