You can edit the HTML code in Internet Assistant. Be sure you have
version 2.0, then go to View Source. You can edit the code there. IA is
not a comprehensive HTML editor. It does allow you to give users a
template for your pages and then allow them to edit content fairly
simply and safely.
A tool you can download and try out, for massive file conversion, is Web
Publisher, at www.skisoft.com. It is a pretty slick tool, but often the
HTML it creates is far from valid, though it will look fine in Netscape.
Table codes, in particular, are very strange. Try it out.
HoTMetaL will also convert documents into HTML, and it creates totally
valid HTML. Does not handle frames.
