I'm preparing a presentation on Net resources and research strategies for
our regional STC conference. I'd like to include some 'war stories' ---
actual, real-life examples of what works/what doesn't work when seeking
technical information in cyberspace.

Have any of you used the Net for factual research? I'm especially
interested in hearing about:

o special strategies needed to find particular types of technical information
o criteria for evaluating the quality of the information you gather
o favorite sources for scientific and technical information (especially
engineering, environmental, medical and computer-related stuff)
