Why not say

ALERT: Look for meat fibers as you inspect rawhide chews and dog toys. Also
sniff the product....

You get rid of your "conditional" construction this way. Also,
I took out the word "visible", as it's redundant if the inspector
isn't using a microscope or similar instrument.
