I forgot about one that really annoyed me. Some jerk from
Time Life called me (during the last five minutes of one of my
favorite movies). I asked him if he was selling something and
he said "No." Usually, I'll go along w/ surveys because I've
worked as a survey-slave, and I feel sorry for those people.
This jerk went on for about five-ten minutes on the videos
Time-Life had to sell, and THEN went into the sales spiel.
I told him that I'd already warned him that I wasn't interested
in buying anything and then hung up. If I'd had the brains
God gave a gnat, I'd have gotten his name and called his supervisor.
Nothing like twenty-twenty hindsight.
