I don't produce printers, but I've consumed them world wide . . .

The software is the same but the screens and docs may be in any language.
I've worked mostly with Windows applications and most of them rely on the
Windows drivers to do the work. So, each printer company supplies the
driver itself, but the screens you see come from the OS.

It's a good memory test to select a new printer in Dutch if you don't
read Dutch--you have to hope you remember what the screens say in
English.
