I don't have the time to answer all specific questions, either, but I agree
with Marjorie that, by the time a student reaches high school (at least), that
student should either know how to spell or be able to look the words up. I took
a journalism class in grad school in which, if you spelled a name wrong on an
assignment, you automatically flunked that assignment.
