Has anyone out there developed online help/documentation (of any kind) for
any GUI interface developed with Neuron Data's software development
tools? (My company is considering a variety of GUI development
tools, including Neuron Data's tools, to develop another generation
of our application software. I would design the online help and
enter text.)

I'm especially interested in these issues (everything!):

- Short description of the project you developed online help for
- On what hardware platforms does your GUI and online help run?
- What problems did you encounter developing help for a Neuron Data GUI?
- How helpful was Neuron Data support in answering questions?
- How useful was Neuron Data hardcopy or online documentation to you to
get started and answer questions?
- What method did you use to type in/enter the text of the online
help...Word for Windows? something else?
- Which, if any, of your design decisions were influenced (or dictated) by
Neuron Data online help limitations...*for example* is it easier to
specify reference help for fields & buttons and very hard to
specify complex navigation among hypertext links so you decided to just
give reference and context-sensitive help?... any design-related
decisions you made
- How much experience did you have developing online help before you
started doing online help for a Neuron Data development project?
- Did you need assistance from your company's programmers to
understand the Neuron Data scheme for developing online help?
- Did you need knowledge about object-oriented software development concepts?
- Were you able to make the online help independent enough of Neuron Data
to be able to transport the text of the online help to other vendors?
- Do you have any feedback from customers about how they liked/disliked
the online help?
- Do you have any helpful hints or tips.
- Or any other info that you think I'd need to know.

Please reply to me directly. If there's interest, I'll summarize and post the
results to TECHWR-L or to interested individuals.

thank you!
