My beloved laptop that ran 7.0 died and the newly issued one runs 10.0. I hate it with every ounce of my being and the reason can be summarized: When I press F1 on an open screen, the OS help does not open. The app-centric OS clearly caters to a more novice audience. Quite frankly, what's the point of becoming a power user if the conventions that make one such get thrown out the window?

To all:

I apologize if this is off-topic for the group, but I feel impelled to ask the question. What have your experiences been with upgrading a PC to Windows 10? Are the benefits worth the changes?

BTW, I'm currently using Windows 8.1 on a machine with a "4th generation ...i5-4430 processor," 12GB DDR3 RAM, and a 2TB hard drive, so I have no doubt the hardware can handle the upgrade.

Thanks!
