True, but my point is he may have more control than he thinks and answers to my questions will help sort that out.

Government agencies can be daunting to say the least. It can be near impossible to know where to turn to correct something without a Sherpa to guide you through.

To be clear, I am not recommending he stay or go. I donât have enough information say one way or another. Itâs all moot anyway, it appears his mind is made up based on the tenor of the discussion.

Cheers!
Greg

I'd think that your comments would be relevant if Chris had any control over the sit., but it seems pretty clear that he doesn't.

I've sent Chris a couple of off-list notes. All politics aside - governments do not operate the same way corporations do. Generally speaking government service requires a certain flexibility when it comes to getting things done, and certain ingenuity to getting the tools you prefer for your job.

Without knowing

- which project & agency?
- the level of access Chris has to actual agency staff
- is he embedded with the agency?
- who's providing the workspace and equipment?

It's hard to say if he should stick it out.

Cheers!
Greg
