Well, I have Win 7 running in a VM on my Mac out of forced necessity. I can't say I like it (but I'll also admit I'm woefully ignorant about how to use it — I am precisely the non-techie stupid user when it comes to Windows!). I've heard Win 8 is going to have some kind of similar autosave/versions features too, though I know even less about that, just something I've heard rumoured in the Mac communities.

I strongly suspect I'll be looking at Linux Mint or Ubuntu, maybe on a Toshiba, sometime at the back end of this year or early 2013, depending on how long I can eke some life out of my current Mac (which runs Snow, Lion and Win 7, whereas the new macs will only run Lion and Win :(, hence the need to make a change when I need new hardware).

Best
