The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I used their Contact page to ask them about Part-11-compliant
installations. As far as I'm concerned, response time to customer
queries is the first step in any evaluation.

Subject: Re: Word doc review, collaborative editing, and signoff
I used an early incarnation of Agilewords that was set up for XML
documents, and I have met the folks who run the site. They have been
around for a while working on this problem in various forms, and I think
they know what they're doing.
I have not used their service with Word (mercifully, my need to deal
with Word is minimal:-), but given my experience with their previous
work, I think it would be well worth trying out. And, they make it
really easy (i.e., free) to evaluate the service, so the only cost would
be your time.
