And we will always need to help translate jargon or in-house engineer
speak into commonly understood language, arrange the use of
appropriate information topic types, and supply enough similar terms
to aid user search.
A lot of manuals and help systems don't perform that last task very
well. There is lots of room for improvement.
Personally, I like being involved at the design phase of a product. I
think like a user, asking the tough question: so how will the X
feature meet my business goals, and how do I use it?
