Hi all,
Remember in the infant days of javascript (and still even today) we
supplied information in <noscript> tags that told users that their
pages wouldn't look right unless they turned javascript on? Can
webhelp be set up to display a specific block of text, in the frame
that does load, that informs the user that webhelp in Chrome may not
display when loaded from local media, and to use a different browser?
A working webhelp system would overwrite this frame, so the user
wouldn't even see it unless it failed.
This shows that all parties know:
a) There is an issue with a particular branch of the Chrome browser.
c) The help content provider understands the issue.
b) The different parties are working toward a proper solution, so be patient.
