I'm already remote working in Texas and the guy who has the info is in Louisiana, and the stuff I work on is not of earth-shaking importance. If you can suggest a method by which I can relentlessly hunt him down and torment him, it would probably be an interesting read. Now if I was working on docs for medical software that had to be documented well enough so users wouldn't accidentally kill somebody, and the docs had to be done by tomorrow noon, then not getting a response to an email would be a serious concern. But with my situation, and knowing the people I work for, believe me - the tequila sunrise is the most logical option.
