"Significant Others" sounds fine to me.  "Partner" sounds like "same-sex
partner," to me.  You can also just say bring a "guest," so that single
people don't feel left out.  I've taken a friend to events when I didn't
have a date, but I would feel awkward if the invitation limited me to a
spouse, significant other, or partner.
