Most of the companies I've managed for use the
Radford surveys, which are targeted toward the
tech sector. One problem with the Radfords is
their data is based on compensation percentiles,
with no filtering for employee experience (at least
none that I can identify). The old STC survey did
make this distinction, and was often of great help
in arguing that a particular position should be
in a higher percentile based on the experience
I required for the person filling it.
