Re: Word Appendix Numbering

I haven't tinkered with it in a number of years but I recall an approach 
that recommends using Heading 9 instead of creating a separate Appendix 
style. That way you can use the numbering associated with the default 
heading styles, configuring Heading 9 to number as you desire.
