Take the job, go and do it right, and don't forget the tech writers waiting to help you.

:) I wouldn't forget that! I was hoping that such a job would put me in a place to take care of each of those interests, you know? E.g., I understand how design and business can get something in their head that will make tech want to give new meaning to the term postal. And documentation: can't live without it, from the start.

I'm thinking it's the meaningless phrases I'll have a hard time with. E.g., my standard reply to someone who calls me b/c I have a rep for helping start ups conceptualize get off the ground is to say, after they throw Web 2.0 at me like a cheap frisbee, "Just call it what it's always been called: the Tupperware model. Call it Tupperware 2.0, no problem."

As I told Dick Margulis, off list, I've got about 8 irons in the fire and I never count chickens (house that for mixing metaphors?), but I'm pretty sure I'm taking a UI developer position in the Virginia Beach area. So, if anyone has leads on housing there, especially in Norfolk, especially in Ghent -- write me offlist! In the meanwhile, until I've got a contract signed, sealed, and delivered I'm still keeping the irons in the fire.
