A lot of times, questions on this list involve getting someone, or a group of someones, to do something. A coworker of mine stumbled onto a site called ChangingMinds.org that might be helpful for the technical writing community given the frequency of these questions. It's interesting and offers up several helpful tidbits of information. Their home page seems to be down at the moment so the following link is to the first major section on the site. I'd check out the principles and the techniques as well.
