We are in the process of recoding our application from .asp format to
Windows forms .net technology. The basic functionality is the same but
there are obvious changes in the navigation and current problems are
being corrected. Although discussion included both online Help and a
separate user manual they will probably be much the same. We have been
involved in the design and development but only one unit is beyond the
model stage. The VP has decided that he needs a firmer project plan (one
was created but not updated since) to capture level of effort for
requirements, design, development, documentation and QA. I am fairly new
to the program, and this will be the first instance of online help. I
will prefer to give the estimate for documentation as a proportion of
the development effort rather than a fixed number of hours. They are
using 50% to capture the QA/testing. I am inclined to the same figure.
What would you use. Thank you.
