I've used Adobe (formerly Macromedia) Captivate on hundreds of hours
worth of walkthroughs. I've never had a problem with corrupted files
or similar. It's a *very* easy program to learn, but does have some
quirks that need to be kludged around.

Overall? I recommend Captivate over Camtasia...just a better feature
set all around.

*HINT!!! If you're adding voiceovers? Get the sound files *first*
then do your screencast while the sound file is playing.

I've created a great list of do's and don'ts...I should post it somewhere.
