How many of you get... or have had... jobs with remote 
companies, where the company

a) planned and allowed enough time in their schedule that 
 real working hardware and software would exist before 
 a reasonable documentation schedule began and 

b) sent you one or more devices that they normally sell 
 for upwards of USD25000, so that you could actually 
  work with what you were documenting?
